Georgia Car Insurance Resources & VLOG
I'm Justice Brakache aka Mr.Peach answering whether you have to pay for an online insurance quote. I'm here today at one of our 16 locations to do what I do best and that's answer questions for our customers. And by the way I am a licensed insurance agent in the state of Georgia.
Today we have a question from Keith. Do I have to pay for an online quote?
No, the quotes are free. The quote provides an estimate based on the information that you provided us that gives you a precise description of what's available as far as coverages are. So, it is not a statement of a contract. All coverages are subject to policy provisions and applicable endorsements. If you would like to change them, however, coverages, availability, and the minimum coverage limits vary by state.
So, here at Peachstate in Georgia, if you would like to go into further detail, feel free to contact a Peachstate agent and we can go over it with you. But, no, to answer your question, you should never have to pay for a quote. They are free and complimentary to you.

I'm Justice Brakache aka Mr. Peach answering whether a receipt is the same thing as proof of insurance. I'm here today at one of our 16 locations to do what I do best and that's answer questions for our customers. And by the way I am a licensed insurance agent in the state of Georgia.
Hi this is Ian and I have a question for you. Is the receipt the same thing as proof of insurance?
Hey there, Ian. So is the receipt the same thing as proof of insurance?
No.
As funny as that seems, the receipt is not the same thing as proof of insurance. It's simply a confirmation page and after we have received your payment, you will be redirected to a new page that has both your proof of insurance -- which will be a binder until it gets updated into the system -- and also a receipt as a confirmation that you purchased a policy. You also receive that from one of your Peachstate agents, or you can give us a call and we can give you your policy number and any other information that you need...
...Because it is always so sweet at the peach.

I'm Justice Brakache aka Mr. Peach and I'm going to tell you if auto insurance is required in Georgia. I'm here today at one of our 16 locations to do what I do best and that's answer questions for our customers. And by the way I am a licensed insurance agent in the state of Georgia.
Hi there, I'm Mia, and I have a question for you. Is auto insurance required?
Hey there Mia, auto insurance is required in forty-seven states they require vehicles to have some level of insurance coverage before they can even hit the road. Failure to have insurance can lead to pay a fine fine and/or jail time, not to mention suspension or revocation of your driver’s license. In most of those states, the minimum required coverage is liability coverage. To cover damage and injuries you may cause though, a handful of states require additional coverage, such as collision and comprehensive. But those are only in a hand full of states. The minimum requirement for auto insurance is liability coverage typically speaking, depending on your state.

I'm Justice Brakache aka Mr. Peach answering if auto insurance is tax deductible! I'm here today at one of our 16 locations to do what I do best and that's answer questions for our customers. And by the way I am a licensed insurance agent in the state of Georgia.
Hi there, I'm Bill, and I have a question for you. Is auto insurance tax deductible?
Hey there Bill! Is auto insurance tax deductible? Great question!
If you are self-employed and you use your personal vehicle for business, you can take a tax deduction for your car insurance. For example, an independent sales professional who travels the world for work can take the deduction. However, only the actual mileage used for business travel is deductible. In other words, if you drive a vehicle 15,000 miles in your vehicle for business and you also drive 15,000 in your vehicle for personal use (a total of 30,000 miles annually). but only half of which would be deducted. So, yes you can deduct it from your taxes. Another reason to stay so sweet at the peach!

I'm Justice Brakache aka Mr. Peach explaining what auto insurance is! I'm here today at one of our 16 locations to do what i do best and that's answer questions for our customers. And by the way I am a licensed insurance agent in the state of Georgia.
Hi there I'm Alexander, and I have a question for you. What is auto Insurance?
Hi there Alexander. So what Is auto insurance?
Insurance, by definition, is a contract between you and the insurance company. The contract stipulates that as long as you pay the premium, the insurance company agrees to pay for your covered losses if you experience an accident, theft or vandalism, or your car is damaged by certain circumstances. The amount received in compensation is based off of several factors, including your deductible and the limit you choose for your policy. So I do hope that gives you a basic definition as to what insurance is and you see the benefit of having it. Because really it keeps you so sweet at the peach! All the time.

Hi there I'm Shemika and I have a question for you. What does auto insurance cover?
Hi there Shemika.
There are several categories of auto insurance, each of which covers a very different aspect of your risk as a driver. Before you drive in the Peach State Georgia, you must have at least the following required minimum coverages on your auto insurance:
- Bodily Injury Liability: $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident
- Property Damage Liability: $25,000 per person
- Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury*: $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident.
Liability: If you are deemed at fault in a car accident, liability coverage will pay for repairs, medical expenses and for injuries suffered by others in the vehicle, plus other expenses related to the accident such as legal fees. Your liability limits are set at the time you purchase your policy.
There are two parts to liability coverage:
bodily injury liability and property damage liability. The limits are the maximum amount that the policy will pay out; anything above the limits of liability would come out of your pocket. Unless you have other insurance to complement the holes in the policy.
I highly recommend adding the following coverage for
medical expenses: This coverage pays for injuries that you, or a family member or even anyone else riding in your vehicle may inquire so you may move forward after the accident, regardless of who is at fault. It also pays for injuries you or your family members may incur while riding in another persons vehicle. So lets say your buddy john takes you to a grocery store he gets in an accident. That's when it will come in also.
You should also add
uninsured/underinsured motorist: This coverage pays for injuries and property damage you suffer in an accident when the driver is at fault either is uninsured or does not have enough insurance to cover your injuries. OK now this is very important because if you don’t have enough money to pay for your medical bills they can really stack up. That's the number one thing that I've seen. So in the event of a hit-and-run the driver flees the scene and you can't find him. So you can’t file claim a against him, or that driver’s insurance company.
So just get uninsured under insured coverage that way you can stay so sweet at the Peach. On behalf of Peachstate Insurance, I would like to thank you for the great question and I hope that this helps you have a peachy day.

Hey my name is Rutger, and I have a question for you. What makes your insurance rates cheaper than other insurance companies?
Hey there, Rutger. That’s a very good question if I do say so myself.
So what makes our insurance company’s prices lower than the others? We’re an insurance brokerage. So what that means is we do all of the shopping around for you so that we can find you the best deal and compare it multiple carriers to find you the absolute lowest price for your monthly payments.
So that would be the answer to your question, Rutger. Thank you for it.

Hey my name is Ricas, I want to know why I've got to pay insurance and what do I have covered on my insurance?
Hey there, Ricas. That's a very good question if I do say so myself.
So why do we have to pay insurance and what is covered? So, why do we have to pay insurance? It's actually mandated by the state that you have at least liability coverage, which covers $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident with a property damage coverage of $25,000 per accident as well. Those are the state minimum coverages that you have but you, upon speaking to an agent, would have the opportunity to get more coverage if you would like. However, that is a state minimum coverage and, for that reason, that covers the state mandate of you having insurance.
So, that is a very good question. We gotta keep you legal and can’t have you driving dirty, Ricas.

Hi this is Ryan, I have a question for you. Does Amigo Auto Insurance report accidents to the state?
Hey there, Ryan. So does Amigo Auto Insurance report your accidents to the state?
Yes, they do.
Every single insurance company that we carry, if you get into an accident, we will report that accident to the state and it will be recorded on your MVR, which is your Motor Vehicle Record -- which is where all of your tickets and any previous accidents would show up when you are looking to purchase another policy.
So, just let your agent know about it. It's not a big deal and things happen, but thank you for the question, Ryan. You have a peachy day.

Hi this is Todd, I have a question for you. Do I have to buy auto insurance from Peachstate if I get a quote online?
Hey there, Todd. This is Justice. So your question on do I have to buy an insurance quote from Peachstate if you get a quote online? No, sir, you do not.
There's absolutely no obligation for you to purchase the quote. They are free and there's no commitment to any purchase or policy at that point. However, if you do enjoy the policy and like the payment options, I highly recommend going with it because there's only a finite amount of time that we can save a quote. So you'll only have about two-to-three days before it cycles out of our system and then you will have to get a new quote later on.
So, give us a call and we're there for ya, my man. Thanks for the question, Todd.

Hi this is Margarita, I have a question for you. When does my coverage start?
Hey there, Margarita. That is a fabulous question. I get that all the time. When does my insurance start?
Well, your coverage begins right when you receive valid proof of insurance. You can access this online anytime or just give your Peachstate agent a call and they can provide you with a binder, or something because it does take a little while for the state to receive validation that you have insurance. It takes about 24-to-48 hours for them to receive that and they can then update it in their system, at which point they will be able to see it. But before then, they won't be able to see it. So if you're going to register your car or vehicle at the DMV, you want to go ahead and bring a binder in with you. If not, we can fax one to you or email you.
I hope that answers your question, Margarita. Thank you for choosing Peachstate.

Hi this is Jasmin, I have a question for you. Can I pay by phone or mail instead of online?
Yes, Jasmine.
Peachstate has a way to ensure the security of your payments, but if you're uncomfortable making an online payment you can always forward your application to a Peachstate agent and someone will be in contact with you about your payment arrangements. The coverage effective date will have to depend on the new payment arrangements with the agent. So just keep that in mind, okay?
You can make your phone payments any day, anytime you want to. Just give us a call during our business hours, Monday through Saturday, and we will be more than happy to assist you.
